Water & Wellness Day

Reconnect, Revive & Rewild
under the
Aries Full Moon

A one-night, two-day rewilding retreat in the South Downs National Park near Shoreham-by-Sea. Slow down, reconnect, and restore through gentle adventure, movement, and rest in nature.

A Taste of Your Time

Paddle Boarding Mini Expedition

Reconnect through the rhythm of the river.
Revive your soul with the healing power of water.
Rewild your inner child and sense of adventure.

We’ll arrive at our secret wild space by paddle board, launching near Shoreham town centre and paddling ourselves up river. Approximately an 8-10km paddle, we’ll flow in the same direction as the tide, helping carry us on our way. You’ll be guided by Cami on this gentle river paddle and invited to take in the sights, sounds, and stillness of this stunning riverway. We’ll pause to rest, breathe, and drop into moments of mindfulness before arriving at our end destination nestled in South Downs National Park. At the end of the day we’ll be taxi’d back to our launch location along with all kit and baggage.

Sound Healing

Reconnect with you through grounded, immersive sound.
Revive your system and restore your natural balance.
Rewild your inner rhythm and release what no longer serves.

We are vibrational by nature—each part of us working in harmony and balance, until life pulls us out of sync. Through sound, the body is gently guided back into alignment, relaxing and releasing energies that no longer serve our greater good.

Led by Cami you’ll be taken on a deeply restorative journey. Immersed in soothing tones and healing frequencies, inviting your body and mind to soften and settle. If the weather allows, we may even enjoy a sound bath experience under the late afternoon sky.

Yin Yoga and Meditation

Reconnect with your body.
Revive through gentle movement and rest.
Rewild your spirit with outdoor practice held by nature.

You’ll be gently guided through a Yin Yoga flow and meditation by Rainie working with the five elements - the Ether, Earth, Water, Air and Fire. Inspired by the changing seasons and nature’s wisdom, Rainie blends mindful movement, steady strength and deep rest.

Nature Connection & Gentle Guided Walk/Hike

Reconnect with nature and your inner creative soul
Revive your inner explorer with a guided nature walk in the South Downs
Rewild your soul and tap into your wild wisdom with nature

We’ll get creative with some gentle and fun nature-themed activities including time to explore and walk/hike the surrounding South Downs National Park. Nothing strenuous - a gentle amble inviting you to really, truly connect with our surroundings whilst having some fun on the way before finishing the afternoon around the campfire.

  • This event isn’t suitable for complete beginner paddle boarders. Ideally you will have learned to paddle ahead of the event and are comfortable to paddle for up to 4 hours either standing or on your knees, or a mix of both! If you can self rescue un-aided that would be super but not to worry if not - the team are on hand to support and we may even practice this so everyone has the opportunity to learn and develop new skills. If you’re unsure, there’s the option to join a beginner or progression paddle lesson with Cami ahead of the weekender to find your paddle feet (at extra cost but there is a 20% discount for all Water & Wellness Weekender guests). Drop a note in the booking form and Cami will be in touch to discuss.

  • The intention is to have a taste of a mini paddle boarding expedition - the invitation is for the group to paddle themselves and all their gear to our comfy, cosy and slightly wild space.

It’s an opportunity to lean into travelling light, allowing yourself to disconnect and be completely immersed in nature - only taking what you can carry on your paddle board and accepting that the rest can be left behind.

There’s no need to bring lots of things–just yourself, your paddle clothing, a dry bag big enough to carry a water bottle, sun cream, an outfit and footwear that’s suitable for our land-based activities and something warm for the evening.

That said, we will have spare blankets and some warm clothing that people can borrow if you really want to travel light.

Everything else, including yoga mats, will be provided.

We’ll paddle up river with the tide and exit close to our venue with a short transfer from the river to our wild space. Easy peasy.

If this feels too much there is also the option for our team to transfer your belongings to our camp from the meeting/paddle launch point and back.

This is an invitation, and totally up to you. It can be quite liberating to only take what you need and travel light. For some people this feels easy, for others it can feel edgy and slightly out of their comfort zone. We want to give you the opportunity to challenge yourself in a way that feels accessible and safe.

There’s no need to decide now, you can make up your mind closer to the day.

  • Our wild space is a secret location in the heart of the South Downs National Park just north of Shoreham and close to Steyning and Upper Beeding.

We have plenty of outdoor space with a canopy area for shelter/shade if we need it.

There’s a large dome for indoor sessions that is heated should we need it and there’s electricity for phone charging.

There’s plenty of green space to enjoy around the camp plus a fire pit with log seating.

There are toilets and a shower available to use.

There’s a basic outdoor kitchen with a fridge but no cooking facilities. All food will be provided by the SUP & Soul team using the fire pit and some pre-prepared dishes - all vegetarian.

  • We like to keep our groups intentionally small and have a maximum capacity of 12-14 places available - this helps to nurture a comfortable, cosy and intimate feeling among our guests.

  • It’s totally up to you if you’d prefer to come along on your own or with friends. The bell tents accommodate 3 people with a comfy single bed per person. For any solo guests the SUP & Soul team will ensure you feel welcome and at ease but rest assured these events are all about helping to build a sense of community and ensure everyone leaves feeling like they’ve made new friends.

  • The only weather types that might hinder our plans are thunder storms, strong winds and torrential rain. Otherwise we’ll plan to paddle. Should the forecast not work in our favour we can still walk along the river, which has a gorgeous and accessible footpath all the way to our wild space. All will not be lost and we’ll still enjoy a mini-expedition experience. A decision on this will be made at least 48 hours before the event and communication sent to all guests. Once at our wild space we will have covered areas to rest and relax and enjoy all that nature throws at us! This is meant to be a rewilding day after all.

    • Tea, coffee, hot water to keep us going throughout the day.

    • 2x 2-3 hour hosted river paddle board trips hosted by Camilla, an experienced, qualified and fully insured ASI SUP instructor who is outdoor first aid trained.

    • All paddle boarding equipment - top quality boards, paddles, leashes and buoyancy aids. Guests are also welcome to bring their own. This doesn’t affect the price.

    • Freshly prepared vegetarian meals and homemade treats.

    • A 60-90 minute sound bath hosted by Cami - experienced, qualified and fully insured sound bath practitioners.

    • Yin Yoga & Guided Meditation with Rainie, a qualified, experienced and fully insured Yoga Instructor.

    • Magic and mystery. If we told you absolutely everything where would the delightful element of surprise be! But rest assured, there’s no scary surprises - just lots of loveliness and care.

    • Guided morning (gentle) hike around our South Downs camp in all its stunning glory.

    • Transport to our paddle launch location and parking. There is overnight parking available that’s free. Closer to the time we will try to help coordinate lift shares to our launch location as well.

    • And if you don’t wish to carry your belongings on the board then we can arrange for these to be collected and brought to the camp from our meeting point.

    • Wetsuit hire - we have a small amount of wetsuits available - if you need one let us know in your enquiry form and we can try to arrange. It’ll depend on the conditions closer to the time if wetsuits are necessary. The air temp can still be quite warm at the end of September and the water temperature is warmer than any other time of year.

    • Personal travel insurance - it is recommended that all guests have their own travel insurance that includes local activities in the UK, such as paddle boarding and gentle hiking.
